Shep Gordon is negotiating to back a new cannabis media property called Civilized Worldwide, sources tell Media Ink.
The company closed a series a round of funding.
Riedle declined to disclose the names of the potential backers, but sources tell Media Ink it is indeed Cohl, who used to arrange tours for Michael Jackson and the Rolling Stones, and Gordon, whose memoir, “They Call Me Supermensch,” was made into a movie directed by Beth Aala and Mike Myers.
Gordon, now semi-retired and living in Maui, moved to LA straight out of college, where he befriended Janis Joplin and plenty of other hard partying celebrities.
He managed Pink Floyd, being a crucial part of their progression as an American powerhouse in the psychedelic cannabis pot infused world
There is a ten strong staff in Riedle’s office going hard every day to advance his domination in the media field, niche by niche.
“It’s an issue close to my heart and I get very passionate about it,” he said in a phone interview, “but we’re trying to build a media brand and expand the audience reach.”
